Unsung heroes of film part 10. Sven-Ole Thorsen.

You recognise their faces but you aren't quite sure where from. You see them and go "HIM!! I see him in everything" and then you forget them. There's a fleeting recognition that disappears as soon as they die in, usually, violent ways. These are the actors that if, IF, you notice them, don't turn up in the opening credits of a film. In fact you'll have to do some pretty lengthy searching of the closing scrolling credits to find them

La Fours. A prick.

Yup, this guy. Basically a Danish man mountain. Turns up in everything. And always looking to fuck up someone's day. He took on Jay and Silent Bob. He took on Maximus Decimus Meridius, He's been killed by Arnold Schwarzeneggar more times than I've had dinner. Twice by Conan The Barbarian alone! 

Hard Target. Great camouflage there kid

Mel Gibson made shit of him in Lethal Weapon. He gets an awful slap in Dodgeball. Charlie's Angels took lumps out of him. He played the demon who haunted Bruce Lee. He died more times in the 80's and 90's than Sean Bean. He's huge and a stuntman aside from being an actor so when he appears on screen you just know it's all going to kick off. His career has been going strong for 40 years now. Take a look here

Predator. Precisely 5 seconds after this pic was taken Arnie shoots
him through the wall. Through The Wall.

Greatest hits

Mallrats. Plays La Fours. The mall security guard who takes a major dislike to poor Jay & Silent Bob. Plus he gets to wear a spiffy hat. 

Gladiator. Tigris Of Gaul. The masked man who Maximus takes on in while surrounded by tigers. Great craic.

Hard Target. The machine gun welding, cigar chomping, extremely loud shirt wearing chap who spends a while hunting down Van Damme before getting shot 600 times and getting a roundhouse kick in the chops for good measure. A memorable death scene.

Conan The Barbarian. Plays Thorgrim, an underling of Thulsa Doom until Arnie turns him into a big dirty shrieking human shish kebab.
