Almost 5000 new cases of Covid were announced in Ireland today. So it looks like there's a lot of films in my future again this year. But I need to structure it a bit, stop with the scattershop approach of watching literally anything.
Do I watch Hugo or Tintin and fill the holes in my Scorsese and Spielberg viewing?
A marathon of Rainer Warner Fassbinder films maybe?
Finally dig into the work of Agnès Varda?
Go Far East and do a watch of the collected works of Akira Kurasowa or Yasujirō Ozu?
Maybe stay in Asia but go Bollywood instead?
Or do I just reach across to the shelf and catch up on the couple of Hitchcock films in this set I haven't seen?
I'm a believer in taking the easy option tbqh.
