Walter's in trouble. They need to be silenced. But there's a problem. All nine are in separate prisons and the minute one is killed the others will instantly be put into protective custody. So they need to be taken out simultaneously. The only people with that reach across the New Mexico penal system are the aryan brotherhood and getting into bed with a neo-nazi organisation is just one more step on Walter's descent into hell.
