One massive spoiler right here if you haven't seen this film.
The most iconic scene from arguably Sergio Leone's masterpiece.
A man called Harmonica has teamed up with a recently widowed woman called Jill and a man called Cheyenne to get revenge for past wrongs.
Very late in the film we get a flashback to Harmonica's youth.
A cruel and cold scene where we find out the real reason behind our heroes motivation for revenge.
That Morricone score. Brooding, oppressive and terrifying. The evil smiles. Henry Fonda's cold blue eyes. That Monument Valley scenery. Tonino Delli Colli's cinematography. Imagine seeing this on it's original 1968 theatrical run. It still blows me away now. Astonishing in its cruelty.
But still an amazing amalgamation of sound and vision.
