I've been doing using Duolingo to learn Spanish for the bones of 8 months and in my head I'm not too shabby at it so this evening I decided to watch a Spanish horror film about a murderer in a cinema called Red Screening without the subtitles to see could I follow the film.
I could follow the film no hassle.
But I could barely understand a word that was said.
It seems there's a difference between understanding words on your phone and understanding sentences screamed by terrified people being chased by a knife wielding killer who wants to cut out and eat their eyes.
Back to the drawing board.
That said the film was fun. So at least 90 minutes of this rainy miserable day weren't a total write off.
