More comfort watching

Yesterday was one of those shit days. Didn't want to talk to anyone in real life. Didn't want to talk to anyone online. So i did what all healthy adults do in this situation. I watched all 9 hrs of The Godfather trilogy.

It worked a treated. Like being wrapped in a blanket made of cinema. 2 masterpieces and 1 film that's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's odd that 3 films filled with violent death and familial betrayal would be comforting but i'm an odd fucker. It's always the little moments that stick too.

Sonny and Clemenza laughing at Michael's revenge plot.

The recipe for tomato sauce.

Pop goes the weasal at Lake Tahoe.

Don Ciccio's villa.

"YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN!!"

Don Fanucci and the lightbulb.

The lovely Strawberry daquiri moment in Cuba between Michael and Fredo before it all goes wrong.

That Moe Greene rant.

"You know, Mike, we was all proud of you being a hero and all. Your father too."

The landlord's nervous fumble with the door.

Vito's orange peel trick.

Tom Hagen's subtle suggestion to Frankie Five Angels.

The silent scream on the steps of the opera house.

Michael lighting Enzo's cigarette.

Hyman Roth and his cake.

"ZA-ZA!"

Jesus I love it.
