A perfect pairing of sound & vision part 9. Rushmore

The moment Wes Anderson beat his way into my brain and set up camp. The opening scene of his first big critical hit and a perfect blend of sight and sound. We find out everything we need to know about the extremely ambitious Max Fischer and get a cracking tune (Making Time - The Creation) over the top to boot.

Still the best thing Anderson has ever done. This 74 second clip is better than the entirety of the Grand Budapest Hotel. In my opinion.

Previous parts

An American Werewolf In London
Dazed And Confused
Boogie Nights
Raging Bull
Almost Famous
Once Upon A Time In The West
Goodfellas
Last Of The Mohicans
