Film scenes that just blow you away. Tom Yum Goong.

A man enters a building. He looks pissed off. His elephant has been stolen and he wants it back (seriously!). He's looking for someone and no one is going to get in his way. The only thing between him and his goal is a winding staircase and a couple of dozen baddies. Sounds like something you've seen a thousand times before right? WRONG.

This is one of those rare action sequences that just floors you and you don't want to see it end. A one shot take of a chap fighting his way up through a building full of poor unfortunates who are going to be in tatters in the morning. The actor, Tony Jaa's physicality is something to behold. This Thai film was released in 2005 and nothing has come close to the audacity of this scene since. Definitely nothing out of Hollywood anyway. Just watch the stunt at 1.19. Unreal. Kudos to the cameraman too.

Imagine how much planning and choreography was involved in this and just how many times it had to be done to get correct. You'd shudder at the thought. By the way, one very subtle piece of CGI was used in this scene. See if you can spot it?
