A perfect pairing of sound & vision. The Princess Bride : Inigo Montoya's Revenge Story

Inigo, Fezzik and Vizzini have just kidnapped Buttercup; a woman being forced to marry Prince Humperdinck of Florin. Their intention is to start a war but a masked stranger following them has no intention of letting that happen. He follows them across the sea to the cliffs of Insanity and at the top him and Inigo face off against each other.

But first they have a chat.

A combination of Mark Knopfler's gorgeous score and Mandy Patinkin's dulcet tones help us realise there's far more to Inigo than meets the eye. He's not just the one note brigand we've assumed but rather a man forced into a life he hadn't planned in order to achieve a greater good. The way he talks about his Da and his love for him makes us realise that the soul of the film doesn't lie with Wesley and Buttercup but with Inigo's search for justice.

A funny, touching and brilliantly realised moment. With great music.
