Most actors who get their big break in a Hitchcock film only go downhill from there but Veronica has always worked with the best. Almost always as a supporting actress but one who makes her mark memorably everytime she appears.
She's been menaced by a xenomorph. Suffered devil induced projectile vomiting. Been a mam to both a young boy who flies alien filled spaceships and America's most famous sex researcher. Had run ins with the Candyman. Gone to the Twilight Zone, been saved by Crockett and Tubbs and caught the sun with Mitch Buchanan. Been in Hitchcock & Scott masterpieces and Wayan's brothers shitshows. Fled body snatchers and supported the earliest astronauts. 6 decades on the job and she's appeared in everything from Sci-fi to westerns to horror to critically acclaimed indie Oscar winners to streaming tv shows. The Birds. Cathy Brenner. The young girl who's birthday party is interrupted in a bizarre and unnatural manner. Spends the next 90 minutes running from evil seagulls. Just like O'Connell street at lunchtime.
The Witches Of Eastwick. The ultra religious and ultra gossipy Felicia Alden. The only person in Eastwick immune of the charms of Daryl Van Horn. Has any extremely nasty experience with a load of cherries and a fire poker. A brilliant role too, probably her most memorable.
The X-Files. Cassandra Spencer. The wife of the smoking man and a big part in the larger mythology of the entire series.
