What film did I love as a baba? Gotta say The Goonies. It had it all. Scares (the first time you see Sloth, all the spiky deathtraps), a pretty girl (Andy, who ends up snogging Thanos!) and lots of laughs (seeing the Fratelli brothers getting their nuts destroyed crossing that wet pole is never not funny). It also had adventure, tonnes of it, all carried out by people only slightly older than me and my friends were. We spent our time in the fields near home, exploring down by the railway tracks, sneaking into the old abandoned factory beside the tracks, down by the river, in the woods nearby (that we called Vietnam) but we never found any hidden treasure. The Goonies did though and we loved 'em for it.
